1. Scope
This policy applies to blepgames.org and to all Blepgames VR titles, whether currently available, in development and unannounced, or released after this policy's last update. Where a specific game collects data beyond what's described here, that game's in-app settings or store listing will say so, and this page will be updated to match.
2. What we collect
On this website, we collect only what you give us directly:
- Your email address, if you sign up to be notified about a launch.
- Basic, aggregated site analytics (pages visited, approximate region, device type) — no cross-site tracking, no ad identifiers.
In our games, once released, we may collect:
- Gameplay and performance data (crash logs, frame timing, session length) used to fix bugs and improve comfort.
- Headset-provided data required for the game to function — for example room-scale boundary or controller tracking — which stays on-device unless a specific feature (like multiplayer) requires otherwise, and will be disclosed at that feature's point of use.
- Purchase and entitlement data handled by the platform storefront (Meta, Steam, etc.), not directly by us.
3. What we don't collect
We do not sell your data. We do not use biometric data (including eye tracking or hand tracking, where a headset supports it) for advertising or profiling, and we do not share it with third parties for their own purposes.
4. How we use it
To send the one email you signed up for, to keep games stable and comfortable to play, to understand which platforms and regions to support, and to respond if you contact us directly.
5. Data retention
Email addresses are kept until you unsubscribe or request deletion. Gameplay and performance data is kept only as long as needed to diagnose and fix the issue it was collected for, and is not kept longer than 24 months. Platform storefronts govern retention of purchase and account data under their own policies.
6. Third parties & platforms
Games are distributed through platform storefronts (Meta Horizon Store, Steam, and similar), which have their own privacy policies covering account, purchase, and platform-level data. We only receive what's needed for entitlement checks and aggregate sales reporting.
7. Your choices
You can unsubscribe from any email at any time via the link in that email. You can request a copy of, or deletion of, any data we hold about you by contacting us below. In-headset data controls (tracking, room boundary, microphone) are managed through your headset's own privacy settings.
8. Children's privacy
Our games are not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal data from them. If a future title is rated for a younger audience, this section will be updated with the applicable protections before that title ships.
9. Changes to this policy
When we ship a new game or change how data is handled, we'll update this page and change the date at the top. Material changes will also be noted on the homepage.
